Was at a chaity run over the weekend, saw a couple of blacked-out headlights that might appeal to certain anonymous members here (AZ?) who are after the all-black look. (I have a chrome 6.5" Buffalo headlamp assembly from Dime City Cycles, FWIW.)

This LED setup probably doesn't need reflectors. Black bucket, rim and front-facing surfaces appear to be powder-coated.

Is a tinted lens over headlight a good idea? Must dim output some, but it's certainly all black.

And, for the Indian owners among us (run originated at an Indian dealership), saw this little guy in showroom.

...you could consider me a pioneer.

Of course you do! Hoping to snag a stock (chrome, single) headlight so I can go to LED; nothing seems to fit my 6.5" Buffalo and I miss the stock mount....

The old TBird headlight is pricey on eBay Link

I cut up mine, needed the OEM bracket for the aftermarket bucket.

Good luck in your search.

There's an aftermarket bucket that uses the stock mount?

No. I transferred the mounting bracket from the TBird bucket to the aftermarket bucket, it looks stock but 7" headlight. I don't know your setup but a larger bucket (more light, better look) is the way to go imo. Aftermarket buckets come in chrome too.

Ah, I see. That took some doing and a little black paint, huh. The stock mount is best I've seen, well worth the trouble.
Nicely done! Can't get away with that in chrome world (thought I'd say it before you do ;-). LEDs should make bucket size unimportant since you're not needing a reflector, but I have another reason to go back to stock from my 6.5" - hoping to get headlight out of the shot from dashcam. Complete stock setup is hard to find.

Anybody using one o'these 5.75" LED headlights?
I've seen this exact same unit for $300 at one of the online MC shops.
$30US on eBay: Link

• CSP Page: /csp/thunderbird/Upload.csp

Just tried to upload that JPEG again, same error. Don't know what you get, but error message is 6-pages here.
Don't think I'm supposed to see all that...... Site is much faster than it was, that's for sure.

Too bad I can't upload pics, I was gonna post a new avatar for Davetac1. Guess that makes me an Indian giver, huh.

Okay...
I'm in the habit of clearing all cookies/cruft every time I quit web browser.
But, did it before logging in, after logging in (had to log in again), no difference.

I sent Bedouin a PM, he's aware of the glitch. In the meantime I can't post a pic of my Jayco travel trailer.
